What we collect, and where it goes
SetPace is a one-person business in Ontario, Canada. We collect the contact details you choose to send us, and the messages you write to us. We do not sell or share your information with anyone for advertising.

What we collect
Only two things, and both start with you contacting us.
- The form on this site — your name, and your email or phone, plus whatever you write in the message box. Nothing else. The form has one hidden field used to catch automated spam; a person never fills it.
- Messages you send us — by email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or Instagram. That includes your message, your name or profile name as the service gives it to us, your profile picture, and any file you attach.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Nobody is tracked here. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including the IP address of each request, for security and to keep the site running.
Why we have it
To answer you, to quote the work, and to deliver it. That is the whole list. We do not build advertising audiences, and we do not send marketing email to people who only asked a question.
Where it is kept, and who else can see it
We run our own systems rather than renting someone else's inbox, so most of what you send us stays on machines we control, in Canada. Some of it necessarily passes through other companies first.

Those companies process the information on our instructions. No one else receives it, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within 12 months. For clients, we keep the project record for 7 years after the work ends, because Canadian tax and business records require it. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule and the oldest copy is never more than 30 days old.
Deleting your information
Email [email protected] with the subject Delete my data, from the address or number you contacted us with.
We confirm within 5 business days and delete within 30 days, including from backups as they roll over. The only thing we keep is what the law requires us to keep — invoices and tax records for a client. If that applies to you, we say so in the reply and tell you exactly what stays.
You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct it, the same way.
Information belonging to our clients
When we build or run a system for a client, we handle information belonging to their customers. That information stays the client's, we use it only to do the agreed work, and we hand it back and remove our access when the engagement ends. Our contract with each client sets this out.
Children
SetPace sells to businesses. The site and our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this page
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too. We do not quietly broaden it.
